Experience is the best teacher...


On this page I'll include some of my tips and tricks I've learned while doing my hobby. Where appropriate, I'll include steps or pictures to help clarify my explanations.

To install handrails in Athern loco's run a #70 drill in the mounting holes ( carefully). That makes inserting of the handrails very easy.
 
Want to remove all those sticky price lables that leave a gooey residue  on your empty plastic tubess and box's? 
 
 
 

Real telephone poles are 133 feet apart. Place them on your layout at that scale distance and they look too far apart . Try placing them a scale 100 feet apart for better visual appeal.
